Dr Ben Savu joined our team September 2018. Dr Savu received his Diploma in Romania and has been practicing since 2009. He achieved MRCGP qualification in 2018.
Dr Savu has a wealth of experience and we are pleased to have him join the practice.
Sister Sophie Wilson (f)
Sophie is our practice nurse who is very experienced and joined our team summer 2019. Sophie has previously worked as a District Nurse and her clinical skills cover a wide area of expertees and oversees our HCA's.
Sophe can help with health issues such as healthy living advice, family planning, travel advice including vaccinations, blood pressure checks and dressings, assists with the fitting of IUCDs and subcutaneous implants etc.
Sophie also runs clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma, COPD and diabetes.
Mrs Tracy Quiney (f)
Tracy is an extremely experienced Health Care Assistant. She has a wide range of skills including phlebotomy (performing blood tests) on children and adults, dressings, ear syringing, spirometry, administering injections etc. Our reception staff can provide you with details of her complete skill set.
Tracy works on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Natalie Robinson (f)
As well as being a qualified Phlebotomist, Natalie is currently training to be a Health Care Assistant at the practice. She will have completed her training in the near future. She will working alongside Tracy Quiney our highly experienced HCA.
Practice Manager - Fleur Waite
Aireborough Family Practice is managed by Fleur Waite. As manager, she oversees all aspects of the business such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide high quality patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology.
Fleur supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
Admin Support Staff
Leah is our Admin Support. She runs our recall system which is for patients who have chronic diseases - e.g. Asthma, COPD, Diabetes etc. - and require regular check-ups with the Practice Nurse and Health Care Assistant. She also offers admin support to Julie, our secretary.
Our receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
Community Nurses, Midwife, Health Visitors, Pharmacists
